1.3. Overview of the GCap

The GCap is an IDS type detection probe.

It enables:

• Capturing and analysing network traffic from TAPs

• Generating alerts and/or metadata type events

• Rebuilding the files present in the analysed flow according to type and size parameters

• Transmitting the captured events and files to the GCenter
