3. Profil Setup

In order to access the control panel with the SETUP account, just log in with the following default password: default

Important

It is necessary to modify the password on the first connection, and to keep it in a safe place, for example, with the encryption keys of the GCap.

From the SETUP account it will be possible to:

  • update the operating system

  • restart the system

  • edit and consult the network configuration

  • update detection interfaces

  • check version

  • have quick information on the status of the sensor GCap

  • change and manage password policy

  • change the connection mode (graphical or command line)

  • change the keyboard layout

  • enable or disable file transfer and backup

  • view logging information and statistics

  • view/modify rules and threshold files, including local ones

  • enable or disable scan engine detection

  • disable the sending of eve-log and files

  • disable eve-log and file storage

  • activate or deactivate the storage of additional technical information while defining the duration

  • manage interface cluster configuration

  • manage performance on capture interfaces

  • manage XDP filtering

  • view logging information and statistics

  • consult rules and threshold files, including local ones

  • read all logs: ** stats.log ** suricata_stdout.log ** suricata_stderr.log ** what is present in /var/log/*.log

  • view alert logs
