4. First connexion

Starting with GCap version 2.5.3.104, the user can access the interface from IDRAC or in SSH connection from a terminal or via a cable to the serial port (Serial Over Lan). To access the control panel, one must enter the username/password and change it as soon as possible. This security system has become mandatory in this version during the first connection. A reminder is displayed each time you exit the setup menu when passwords are at default.

Three profiles are available at login with different privileges. Indeed, the SETUP, GVIEW and GVIEWADM accounts are respectively assigned to system administrators, operators and local administrators. Note that it is not possible to have several accounts connected simultaneously.
